These terms explain the agreement between you and LoveBits when you use the LoveBits app and website. We've tried to keep them short and clear. By creating an account or using LoveBits, you agree to them.
1. Who we are

In these terms, "LoveBits", "we" and "us" mean the team behind LoveBits. "You" means the person using LoveBits.
2. Who can use LoveBits
LoveBits is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You use LoveBits together with one partner who also has an account. You're responsible for keeping your login safe and for what happens in your account.
3. What LoveBits is (and isn't)
LoveBits gives couples daily questions, small rituals and date ideas to help you talk and feel closer. It is not therapy, counselling or medical advice, and it isn't a replacement for professional help. 4. Free plan and Premium
The free plan includes one daily question, a handful of date ideas and your shared couple streak, for both of you, for as long as you like. Premium unlocks every question deck, all rituals, the full date-idea library, the weekly recap and streak freezes.
One plan covers you both. When one of you subscribes, your linked partner gets the same Premium access at no extra cost, through your invite link. If you unlink, your partner loses the Premium access that came from your plan.
5. Subscriptions, free trial and renewal
- Where you pay. Premium is sold as an in-app subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store handles payment, and its own terms also apply. We never see your card details.
- Planned launch prices: $34.99 a year or $6.99 a month (or the local equivalent shown in the store). The price you'll pay is always shown in the store before you confirm. Prices may change before launch.
- Free trial. The yearly plan comes with a 7-day free trial. We remind you two days before it ends. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your yearly subscription starts and you're charged.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (each year or each month) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or the subscription renews to avoid the next charge. After cancelling you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for, and then you're back on the free plan. See how to cancel.
- Price changes. If we raise the price of an existing subscription, the store will tell you in advance and, where the law or store rules require it, ask for your consent.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This doesn't affect any rights you have under the law where you live.
6. The intimacy deck (18+)
LoveBits includes an optional intimacy deck for adults. Its questions are suggestive, never explicit. It only opens after both partners have confirmed they are 18 or older, and either of you can hide it again at any time. Don't use it, or LoveBits at all, to pressure your partner. Every question can be skipped.
7. Your answers and content
Your answers, notes and photos stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to store them, show them to your linked partner and run LoveBits for you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account (see our Privacy Policy for retention). We never sell your content, never use it for ads and never use it to train AI models.
Your answers are shown only to your linked partner, and only after you've both answered. Please don't share your partner's answers outside LoveBits without their permission.
8. Fair use
Please use LoveBits as intended. Don't:
- use LoveBits to harass, threaten, monitor or control another person;
- post illegal content, or sexual content involving anyone under 18;
- create accounts for someone else without their permission, or impersonate someone;
- try to break, scrape, reverse engineer or overload LoveBits, or get around its limits or payments.
9. Our content
The questions, rituals, date ideas, designs and software in LoveBits belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own, personal relationship. You may share a screenshot of a question, but please don't copy our decks in bulk or republish them.
10. Changes to LoveBits
We keep improving LoveBits, so features and content can change. If we remove a major Premium feature during a period you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or on our website. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a store subscription: cancel that in the store as well. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where reasonable we'll warn you first and tell you why.
12. Responsibility
We work hard to keep LoveBits running well and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, or our liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can stop using LoveBits and delete your account before the change takes effect.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in the EU or another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Please contact us first, so we can try to solve it together. EU consumers can also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
